You're anonymous

Scanning the event QR code gives your browser an anonymous pass into the event. No account, no name, no email — we don't ask who you are, and nothing you share is tied to your identity.

What you share joins the event

The app only asks small, anonymous things of you: how you're feeling, your reactions, and what brings you to the day. These are blended into the live mood of the event alongside everyone else's — never shown individually, and linked to your anonymous pass rather than to you.

The one exception is feedback about the app itself: if you send us a note, the team reads it as written, along with which page you were on — so leave out anything you wouldn't hand to us directly. It's still linked only to your anonymous pass, not to you.

Talks are transcribed to power the live insight feed — that's the speakers' words on stage, not your conversations.

What's stored on your device

Just the essentials to make the app work:

• Your anonymous event pass, so you stay signed in (a cookie that expires after 7 days).
• A couple of one-line preferences, like whether you dismissed the “Add to Home Screen” prompt.
• A local copy of event content, so the app stays fast on shaky venue Wi-Fi.

No tracking

No analytics, no ad pixels, no third parties watching. That's also why there's no cookie banner here — everything stored is essential to the app working, so there's nothing to opt out of.

Where it lives

Event data is stored securely on Google Cloud and kept as part of the event archive.

Like every website, the services that run Kepler (Netlify and Google Cloud) keep short-lived technical logs — including IP addresses — to serve requests and keep things secure. We don't use these to identify anyone, and they're separate from event data.
